(1897–1970), literary biographer. Born in Killiney, Co. Dublin, she was educated at Alexandra College, and the Sorbonne, before becoming a Fellow of Somerville College, Oxford. Her chief works are biographies of Rimbaud (1947), Baudelaire (1957), and Flaubert (1967).
