(1784–1831). Roman librettist, best known for collaborating with Rossini on Il barbiere di Siviglia (1816). He also wrote the libretti for Paolo e Virginia (1812) and Torvaldo e Dorliska (1815). He worked in the papal administration and was a friend of G. G. Belli.
