Russ.‐born Amer. Violinist, taken as infant to San Francisco. Début 1935 (recital), and 1936 with S. Francisco SO (Saint‐Saëns 3rd vn. conc.). NY début 1937. Int. career as conc. soloist, also fine chamber‐mus. player, esp. in assoc. with Eugene Istomin (pf.) and Leonard Rose (vc.).
