(Strauss: Intermezzo). A conductor. A friend of Robert Storch, the two men often playing cards together. While they are both working in Vienna, a young lady, having confused the two conductors, writes to Stroh in affectionate terms but sends the letter by mistake to Storch's house. It is opened by Storch's wife Christine, who immediately decides to divorce her husband. Stroh is sent to see her with proof of her husband's innocence. Created (1924) by Hanns Lange.
