Works incl. operas Krútňava (Whirlpool) (1941–9) and Svätopluk (1951–9); Serenade, wind quintet; cl. concertino; Rhapsodic Suite, pf., orch.; str. qt.; pf. qt.; and songs. Evolved his own branch of serialism from 1959.
