Quick Reference

(6th century),

founder but not patron of Luxulyan (Cornwall), abbot. Probably identical with Sulien, a Breton saint of Cornouaille and Domonée. Feast: 29 July.

Much confusion has arisen with another Breton saint Sulinus of East Brittany (feast: 1 October) and with a Welsh saint Tysilio (or Suliau), whose feast is on 8 November, and whose Legend was pirated for a Breton saint. It is likely that the three feasts represent three different persons.
