British composer. He trained with Brian Elias and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (1994–5) and received his first major commission, from the BBC Philharmonic, for his score Luminescence (1997). His scores have been written for film and television as well as for concert hall, and his compositions for dance have included Chroma (2006, including music by Jack White) and Genus (2007) both for McGregor, and Eau (2008) for Carolyn Carlson. Wheeldon's Fool's Paradise (2008) uses music from Talbot's film score Dying Swan.
