Golden-haired paragon of beauty and virtue in Welsh Arthurian tradition, one of the three splendid maidens of Arthur's court, along with Dyfr and Enid; wife of Caradog Freichfras. She was thought to have rescued Caradog from a poisonous snake, causing her to be bitten on the breast, which was removed and replaced with gold to save her life. Her cloak, a treasure of ancient Britain, could not be worn by any woman who had broken her marriage vow.
