Quick Reference

A tube that fits into a telescope's drawtube, designed to hold an eyepiece which will increase the effective focal length of a telescope for astrophotography. An adapter allows a single-lens reflex (SLR) camera to be attached. A tele-extender with eyepiece gives larger images of small, bright objects such as planets, and also makes it possible to use an SLR camera which otherwise could not be located at the focal plane of telescopes that have a limited focus range.
