Is a contractual arrangement under which workers are employed only to work during school terms. It is a form of flexible-working that is used by working parents, especially mothers, who may find it difficult to combine paid work and childcare during school holidays when their children are at home. Term-time working is common in the education sector (e.g. for school meals attendants) where the demand for work varies with the pattern of school opening, but it is found in other industries as well.
