Modern dance in eight parts with choreography by Humphrey, music by W. Riegger, and costumes by P. Lawrence. Premiered 19 Jan. 1936 by the Humphrey-Weidman Company, at the Guild Theater, New York. A group work for nineteen dancers, it depicts the world as a grim and dehumanizing place. Humphrey danced the role of the rebellious outsider. Theater Piece was part of a trilogy, with New Dance and With My Red Fires.
