Tibetan talisman made of bronze or meteoric iron worn around the neck, in amulet pouches, or tied to religious items to dispel evil and attract good. Thogchags are believed to have been magically formed and to have fallen from the sky. Some are used by shamans; the earliest known examples date back to the 3rd millennium bc.
