Overview

topological space

Show Summary Details

Quick Reference

A set of x with an associated set T of all its subsets that contains the empty set and the whole set x, and which is closed under union and intersection. The members of T are the open sets of X. Any set of points making up a geometrical figure and satisfying these constraints is a topological space and its topology is determined by the properties of its open sets.
