When you start exercising it is a good idea to keep a daily log of your training. The diary does not have to take any special form. A simple notebook is sufficient, with a page or half page dedicated to each day. The following are some of the items that might be included in the daily entries:• date• weight• resting pulse• training targets• training location• actual training achieved• comments (e.g. how you felt; see perceived exertion).The diary will enable you to monitor your progress and set new training goals.
