Quick Reference

An offer of the use of a product, for a short period of time, so that the user can decide whether or not to keep the product. The idea behind a trial offer is to let the consumer experience or use the product with little risk attached. Often, consumers will not want to sign up for a standard length of time unless the product is something that proves to be useful. See also consumer marketing.
