Quick Reference

The ‘thrice holy’ chant of the eastern Christian liturgies (from Isaiah 6:3). This Ordinary chant was used in the Byzantine Eucharist, Orthros, Vespers, Mesonyktikon, and other offices. The text was transmitted to various western and Slavic liturgies.
