Ethnic group of southern Africa; also known as Batumbuka, Matumbuka, and Tumbukwa.

The Tumbuka primarily inhabit northern Malawi and northeastern Zambia. They speak a Bantu language related to that of the Tonga. More than two million people consider themselves Tumbuka.
