Quick Reference

A tumour cell antigen (tumour specific transplantation antigen, TSTA) that elicits a cell-mediated immune response. In virus-transformed cells TSTA (unlike T-antigen) differs between tumours, even when the same virus is involved. It seems very unlikely that any generic tumour-specific antigen exists.
