(1844–1914), classical scholar; born at Ballygarry, Co. Tipperary, he was educated at TCD, where he became Professor of Latin, Greek, and Ancient History. He edited Euripides, Sophocles, Terence, and Cicero, and co-founded the TCD journal Hermathena in 1874.
