A triangular shaped band of ligament that helps to stabilize the elbow joint. The ulnar collateral ligament consists of three parts: an anterior portion running from the medial epicondyle to the coronoid process; a posterior portion that runs from the medial epicondyle to the olecranon; and a transverse band connecting the olecranon part of the posterior portion to the coronoid part of the anterior portion.
