Quick Reference

The media nickname for a terrorist who carried out a series of bomb attacks in the US between 1978 and 1995 as part of an anarchist, anti-technology personal crusade; because the attacks were made on academic institutions (and particularly scientists), the name Unabomber, a blend of university and bomber, was coined. Theodore Kaczynski was finally tried and convicted in 1998.
