A dietary standard used on food labels in the USA until 1995, when the 1991 Nutrition, Labelling, and Education Act came into force. The US RDA is an estimate of the amount of nutrient needed by the population group with the highest demand for that particular nutrient. US RDAs have been replaced by Daily Values.
