vector composition

Show Summary Details

Quick Reference

Method of determining the resultant vector from two or more component vectors. The sum of the component vectors gives the resultant vectors, so that, for example, if two component vectors are orientated in exactly opposite directions, the resultant has the direction of the longer vector and its magnitude is equal to the differences in the magnitudes of the two component vectors.
