Quick Reference

Any of a series of surgical procedures designed to restore alveolar ridge height by repositioning muscles attaching to the buccal, labial, and lingual aspects of the jaws. It may be undertaken for many reasons, such as to deepen the vestibular trough, reposition the frenum or muscle attachments, or to broaden the zone of attached gingiva after periodontal treatment.
