(1919–1996)

The work of this Italian architect and product designer proved influential in the decades immediately following the Second World War. He participated in the important post‐war exhibition of furniture and interiors organized by the Riunione Italiana Mostre per l'Arredamento in 1946. Many of the ideals of the democratic left were embraced in this exhibition of well‐designed, practical, and affordable domestic furnishings. He also worked for the BBPR architecture and design studio, for Gio Ponti, and for Gino Sarfatti's lighting manufacturing company Arteluce, an important fulcrum for emerging industrial design talent.
