An eclectic and individually-tailored style of haṭha yoga developed by Tirumalai Krishnamacharya, and taught by his son T. K. V. Desikachar. The latter established his headquarters, the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KYM), in Chennai (Madras) in 1976. The organization no longer favours the term ‘Viniyoga’ to describe its therapeutic method, although it has spread around the world under this name.
