Although issued at the University of Virginia, the review is neither an academic organ nor sectional in point of view. In addition to foreign authors, its contributors have included Allen Tate, Robert Frost, Sherwood Anderson, Thomas Wolfe, Conrad Aiken, T. S. Eliot, C. A. Beard, E. A. Robinson, Elizabeth Madox Roberts, John Berryman, and Julian Green.
