Quick Reference
The name of the version of Java which has been developed by Microsoft. It has been the subject of much controversy as Sun Microsystems, the original developer of the language, has claimed that it is a non-standard implementation which is designed to wreck the major design idea behind Java—that of portability over a number of operating systems.
