(Rimsky‐Korsakov: The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh). Ten. Son of Prince Yury and joint ruler of Kitezh, a sacred city. When lost in a forest while hunting, he meets and falls in love with Fevronia. Tartars abduct her during their wedding, and threaten to destroy the city. His father's prayers are answered when the city is enveloped in mist and transported to Paradise, from where his spirit rescues Fevronia and brings her and the Prince together again. Created (1907) by Andrey Labinsky.
