A disorder in which there is degeneration in the vitreous humour of the eye and often retinal detachment. Type 1 Wagner's syndrome can be caused by mutation in the gene encoding chondroitin sulphate proteoglycan-2 (versican), type 2 by defects in collagen COL2A1.
