Wala Sends the First People Down

Quick Reference

Wala is the creator.

When he sent the first people down, Wala dispatched them with dirt to form the place in which they were to stay. That was the beginning of things. These first people brought along with them the animals and all other things, including plants, rocks, and water. Zomia, the first man sent by Wala, gave water to Boya, his son. The water was kept in a big hole. Boya walked about everywhere, distributing it. The water began to run, forming streams that carried it off and so preventing the earth's surface from becoming covered with it. He also put some under the ground so that wherever one might dig, one would find water.
