Quick Reference

The performance of a Web server can be judged by a number of key metrics. The first is the number of connections a server can handle efficiently per minute or per hour. The second is the throughput: the number of bytes of data transferred to browsers over a period of time. The third is the average round trip time, which stretches from the time a request is made to a Web server to the time the final byte of the request has been sent to the client that made the request.
