British dancer. She studied at the Bush-Davies School and Sadler's Wells School, joining Sadler's Wells Theatre Ballet in 1955 and Sadler's Wells Ballet (becoming Royal Ballet) in 1956, where she became soloist. From 1960 to 1974 she was ballerina of Touring Royal Ballet (while still dancing with the main company). An elegant dancer with a pure classical line, she created the title role in Nureyev's production of Raymonda (Spoleto, 1964) and also roles in, among others, Ashton's The Creatures of Prometheus (1970). After retiring she made occasional guest appearances in musicals and with London City Ballet. She became Marchioness of Londonderry on her marriage in 1972.
