Weyland was born 4 December 1774 at Woodrising, Norfolk, and died there on 8 May 1854. He entered Christ Church College, Oxford in 1792, but left without taking a degree and then entered the Inner Temple to study law. He was called to the bar in 1800. He was elected MP for Hindon in 1830, holding the seat until 1832, when he retired to his estate.
