A disorder in which there is a combination of hypogonadism, partial alopecia, diabetes mellitus, mental retardation, and deafness. The cause is a mutation in the C2ORF37 gene (chromosome 2 open reading frame 37) although the function of the product, found in two alternatively spliced isoforms (240 aa and 520 aa), is uncertain.
