A work portfolio means that a person has several part-time jobs at once. This multi-job portfolio is often necessary for the person concerned to maintain a decent standard of living—particularly where he or she has a family to support. Some commentators argue that, with the increase in numerical flexibility, work portfolios will become far more widespread. The concept can also be used in relation to self-employed professionals (e.g. a management consultant) to describe the sale of business services to a range of clients at any given time.
