An exercise that develops the neck muscles and strengthens the back and spine (figure 69).▪ Lie on your back with your head resting on a cushion and your feet drawn up close to your buttocks. Fold your arms, then slowly arch your body up until you are supported by the top of your head and feet only.This is a difficult exercise and should be performed only after expert instruction. If performed incorrectly, or by someone who is not sufficiently fit, there is a danger of damaging the neck.
