Amer. composer, conductor, and violinist. Début with Warsaw PO 1917. Returned to Chicago 1920, Amer. début (Chicago) 1921. After radio career, went to Hollywood 1935 to comp. film mus. Songs incl. Sweet Sue, Love Letters, and Indian Summer. Wrote score for film Around the World in 80 Days, 1956.
