A community sentence that may be imposed on an offender aged 16 or under. According to the Criminal Justice Act 2003, it may consist of an action plan order, an attendance centre order, a supervision order, a curfew order (see curfew requirement), or a exclusion order (see exclusion requirement). When the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008 is brought into force, the current provisions relating to community sentences for offenders under 18 years of age will be replaced by a power to make a youth rehabilitation order.
