Quick Reference

A Sufi order, also known as Rashidi, founded by Ahmad ibn Yusuf al-Milyani al-Rashidi (d. 1524). The Yusufi order is in the Shadhili tradition predominant in North Africa. Like other Shadhili-influenced orders, the Yusufis emphasized the barakah (blessing) of the Sufi shaykhs, called sharifs, and, upon their death, the veneration of their tombs.
