An epipalaeolithic industry dating to between 10 500 and 6000 bc and found at sites in and around the Zagros Mountains of Iran and Iraq. Initially defined in relation to finds from the cave site of Zarzi in northern Iraq, excavated by Dorothy Garrod in 1928, the industry is characterized by notched blades and backed blades.
