Quick Reference

Originally, a term for a person with no hair; in the Authorised Version of the Bible, the Prophet Elisha is addressed derisively as ‘thou bald-head’ by mocking children who are then mauled in punishment by two she-bears. Among Rastafarians, the term is now used for someone who is not a Rastafarian (that is, a person without dreadlocks).
