A small proteoglycan (bone/cartilage proteoglycan I, 368 aa) found in several connective tissues, especially in articular cartilages. The core protein, to which either chondroitin sulphate or dermatan sulphate may be attached, is very similar to the core protein of decorin and fibromodulin.
