A medical condition resulting from excessive caffeine consumption. A daily intake greater than 600 mg may produce undesirable symptoms including anxiety, depression, mood changes, sleep disruption, and other psychological and physiological abnormalities. Abstinence following high intake can lead to withdrawal symptoms. Caffeine intoxication is a recognized medical condition in the USA.
