Endonexin I (annexin A4, lipocortin IV, chromobindin-4, placental anticoagulant protein I, 35-β calcimedin, 319 aa) and endonexin II (annexin A5, lipocortin V, calphobindin I, placental anticoagulant protein I, thromboplastin inhibitor, vascular anticoagulant-alpha, anchorin CII, 320 aa) can modify membrane properties and endonexin II forms voltage-gated divalent-cation selective channels. Analogous calcium-dependent membrane-binding proteins are synexin and p36 (annexin II), a component of brush-border membrane that is a target for the src-gene tyrosine kinase. Beta3-Endonexin (centromere protein R, CENP-R, nuclear receptor-interacting factor-3, 111 aa) is a selective binding partner of the cytoplasmic tail of beta3- integrin that modifies its affinity.
