A formulation of fluid mechanics in which the velocity of the fluid at fixed postions is analysed, i.e. a formulation that describes changes at fixed positions in the fluid, in contrast to Lagrangian fluid dynamics. It is named after the Swiss mathematician and physicist Leonhard Euler (1707–83).
