Quick Reference

The maximum range of motion possible at a particular joint or series of joints working together. Extent flexibility is largely joint-specific; good flexibility at one joint does not guarantee good flexibility elsewhere. Use of the term is sometimes restricted to the ability to flex and stretch the trunk and back muscles as far as possible in any direction. See also flexibility.
