A collection of alphabetic and other characters which are displayed in a certain style. There are thousands of fonts in existence, ranging from those such as Baskerville which have been in existence for two centuries to more modern fonts such as Futura. One of the problems that Web designers face when developing Web pages is the limited number of fonts that are available to the browsers that access the pages. There are a number of solutions to this problem, the most promising being the use of Web fonts.
