Burmese chronicle compiled in 1829 by a committee of scholars appointed by King Bagyiday. The name of the chronicle was taken from the Palace of Glass, the chamber of which the compilation was made. The work relates the history of the kings of Burma.who are said to be descendants of the Buddha's own people, the Śākyans.and among other topics, goes on to report on the establishment of Buddhism in the country and the acquisition of sacred relics.
