Quick Reference

The multiprotein complex downstream of smoothened that has been most extensively characterized in Drosophila, but which probably has a homologue in humans. It is a tetrameric microtubule-associated complex involving the kinesin-related protein Costal2 (Cos2), the protein kinase fused (Fu), and the transcription activator cubitus interruptus (Ci), the mammalian homologues of which are the Gli family. See hedgehog; smoothened; sonic hedgehog.
